Sometimes they are excited. Sometimes they are nervous. Sometimes all you hear is “I’m fine.”
They may not need long-term support. They may simply benefit from having someone steady in their corner while they find their feet.

Questions parents ask
One young person aged 12 to 18 who is navigating a period of change or transition and could benefit from some additional one-to-one support.
This may include starting high school, changing schools, beginning a new school year, moving, friendship changes, family changes or simply going through a season where they could use another trusted person in their corner.
No. This is mentoring.
The focus is developmental and supportive, helping young people build confidence, self-awareness, communication, independence and their ability to navigate change.
Mentoring does not replace counselling, therapy or other clinical support where that is required.
The bundle begins with a complimentary 30-minute parent or caregiver consultation.
This gives you an opportunity to share relevant context, discuss what your young person is currently navigating and identify what would make the mentoring experience most useful for them.
The four mentoring sessions are then private one-to-one sessions with your young person, within appropriate mentoring and safeguarding boundaries.
Each 60-minute session is tailored to your young person's needs.
Sessions may include thoughtful conversation, reflection, practical strategies and preparation for situations they are navigating.
There is no rigid curriculum. The focus is on meeting them where they are and supporting what they need most right now.
Sessions are generally held weekly via Zoom.
Times are arranged by mutual availability and appropriate parent or caregiver consent is required before mentoring begins.
That is completely normal.
Many young people arrive unsure about what mentoring is or what they are expected to say. The first priority is building connection and trust. They do not need to arrive with all the answers or be ready to talk about everything immediately.
No.
The Life Transition Mentoring Bundle is intentionally designed as a focused four-week starting point.
At the end of the four sessions, you can finish the mentoring there or discuss options for continued support if your young person would benefit from a longer mentoring relationship.
Begin the experience
A period of change does not have to become a crisis before a young person receives support. Four intentional conversations can give them somewhere to understand what they are experiencing, prepare for what is ahead and move forward with greater confidence.
